But, unfortunately we, the people of Bangladesh had to endure inhuman sufferings we had to have the experience of bondage life, people had to keep chained and suffered inhumanly about 190 years of slavery under the shackles of the British colonial ruling and about 25 years under the barbaric domination of the Pakistani rulers and for that reason, we had to groan under the untold pangs and atrocities of these two autocratic rulers. Here, freedom is the birth right of a man nobody has the legal right to snatch his or her sovereignty. Liberty does not come out spontaneously a lot of struggle, hurdles and obstacles need to be overcome to pave its goal, the ultimate victory what we passionately desire and so, it is the outcome of wholehearted collective efforts of an united nation. It reminds us of the supreme sacrifice of our freedom fighters who will ever shine in the core of our hearts like the luminous stars twinkling in the sky. It was the victory of justice over the tyranny it was the struggle of nation survival against the all odds and autocracy. Here, " Bijoy " means " Victory " and " Dibos " means " Day. The 16 th December is locally known as " Bijoy Dibos ". Ultimately, after a nine months long bloody struggle and the supreme sacrifice of the all patriotic people of our country Bangladesh gained victory in the 16 th December, 1971 and since then 16 December has become our national day. When barbarism, brutalism and egotism are on the height peak, revolution and the urge of liberty will be the inevitable part of human survival. Nevertheless, we, the people of Bangladesh had to endure inhuman pangs and sufferings of a painful journey of a bondage life-it was about 190 years of slavery under the shackles of the British colonial ruling – and it was also about 25 years under the barbaric domination of the Pakistani rulers. Does anybody has the legal right to snatch someone's sovereignty? No, and never it should be. Indeed, freedom and independence are hard one to attain and the expected windfalls from independence are even harder to pull off, especially that of achieving prosperity for the community, and safeguarding the integrity of the country. But, it does not come out extemporaneously a lot of struggle, hurdles and obstacles need to be overcome to touch its perfection-the ultimate victory what we definitely desire. ![]()
